ARIF S. KINCHEN

Arif S. Kinchen was in the 6th grade when the acting bug first bit him. Actually, he thought it was the love bug. "There was this fine girl in my class," he vividly recollects. "She was in the school play, so I knew I had to be in the play too. But once I got the role, she became secondary to me, and acting became everything!"

He then became a household face when he portrayed La Marr Hicks, office assistant to Maxey Sparks, on the UPN hit show "Sparks." It's a role that afforded the actor the opportunity to reach a large youth oriented fan base.

A native of Los Angeles, Arif secured his first professional acting job while in the 11th grade at the L.A.County H.S. of the Arts. His first lines were "Yo, what's up man," in the Kid 'n' Play feature film, "House Party." He went on to secure a starring role in the short film, "The Jacket," and guest starred on "Saved by the Bell: The New Class". Arif appeared in his first credited film role in "Trippin," starred in the zany comedy "BeverlyHood" and in a co-starring role in the comedy "The Wash". He's also appeared in numerous commercial campains, including popular spots for Coca-Cola, 800-Call ATT, Lowes, and BellSouth FastAccess® DSL.

With numerous campaigns under his belt, Arif excels in the field of voiceovers, and in addition to lending his numerous vocal characterizations to hundereds of commercials, cartoon series, and video games, he specializes in the art of  "speed talking" and looping. He has voice matched people like Martin Lawerence for "Bad Boys 2" and Bernie Mac for "Guess Who". He is also a man with strong ties to the Hip Hop community.

Emcee`ing since the 7th grade, Arif has been a Hip Hop activist since day one. In fact, music promotion was a full time job for A.S.K. before landing the role on "Sparks." Immortal, Loud, PGD and Sony Records have all benefited from his marketing savvy. Consequently, his own project entitled "What ? You Call Dis An ABLUM ?", independently released in the summer of 2001. He also served as Music Coordnater and star and contributed the theme song "I'm Runnin`" for the film "Runaways."

"`Sparks’, was just the beginning" notes Arif. In January 2007, I helped to produce and acted in the standing room only play "Mary and Joseph, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told"- with my 1st boss Ed. Weinberger and Miguel A. Nunez, Jr.(Sparks). Then I have a 3way national campain with Boost Mobile (tv, radio + setup)... Hey, things are comin` together. The bottom line is that I have no limits, as long as I walk with Christ !"

No matter what he tackles, A.S.K.'s goal is to win. With his talent and vision, Arif S. Kinchen is sure to keep the sparks flying as he embarks on a long and successful career.
